Board Members

Charlotte Morrison is the proud mother of a daughter with high functioning autism. She is especially passionate about advocating for children on the autism spectrum, as well as offering support to their parents and caregivers. Her experience with the various mental health diagnoses involved with autism have led to her current involvement with families affected by chronic mental illness.

Charlotte is a former E.C. Teacher’s Assistant with the Stokes County School System. Originally from Orange County, N.C., she attended Western Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has been a resident of Stokes County since 1993. Charlotte’s previous work with nonprofit organizations include the Family Support Network of Winston-Salem where she assisted families of children with special needs. She is also a volunteer with the Stokes County Special Olympics. 

Charlotte has a passion for advocacy and is eager to assist families in the community who are struggling with mental health-related needs.

Charlotte Morrison

Cheryl D. Goldberg, LPCS, LCAS

Cheryl Goldberg is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Supervisor (LCMHC-S), a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner.   She’s the Associate Director of Therapy Services at Mood Treatment Center, a large, private group practice with offices in Winston-Salem, Clemmons, Greensboro, and Boone. Cheryl has been in the field for more than 10 years and specializes in trauma and anxiety related disorders.

Dwayne Young,
Pastor of New Birth Baptist Church in Walnut Cove, North Carolina

Dwayne Young is the pastor of New Birth Baptist Church in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. He currently lives in Lawsonville with his son Jack and wife Sheri. He graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in emergency medical care and also received his Master’s Degree in theology from Gateway Baptist College in Danbury, North Carolina, a subsidiary of the UNC Chapel Hill University system.

Before being called to be a pastor, Dwayne was a paramedic with the Guilford County Emergency Medical Services Division in Greensboro. He published several research papers in the area of prehospital cardiovascular care in conjunction with the Duke Clinical Research Institute. 

Dwayne currently serves on Stop Overdose Stokes, Stokes County Concerned Citizens, The Board of Sid’s House ,and the Stokes Reynolds Memorial Hospital Inc, operations committee.

Sondra Folsom,
Peer Support Supervisor 

Sondra is native North Carolinian. She graduated from East Carolina University with a BS in mathematics and worked several years at Members Credit Union then received a BA in psychology from High Point University and M.A.Ed in Counseling from Wake Forest University. She retired from Novant Health in July, 2020 after working in Behavioral health for 23 years. She has been a licensed clinical counselor since 1996 (LCMHC), a chemical dependency counselor since 2003, (LCAS) and a supervisor in chemical dependency since 2014 (CCS).

Kimble Hairston McEachern

Kimble Hairston McEachern is from Walnut Cove, NC. She is a UNC-CH graduate and has been in the software/technology industry for over 20 years. A proponent for giving back, she has volunteered with Girl Scouts Peaks to Piedmont Council for over 15 years and has been on several boards in Stokes, Guilford and Forsyth Counties. Kimble is married to Julius Noel McEachern and they have two children, Nigel and Camille. The McEacherns are members of Rising Star Baptist Church in Walnut Cove. 

Cindy Snow

Cindy Snow is a tireless teacher of exceptional children at South Stokes High School and a mother to Bryson, a current student there. Cindy is also an advocate for those who need an ear, especially youth who confide concerns and want guidance. She is an asset to the board because of her knowledge, compassion, joy, faith, and love.

Wanda Pearman

Wanda Pearman, LCMHC, a native North Carolinian, has a master’s degree in Human Development and Learning from UNCC. She is liaison for mental health and substance use disorder with The Stokes County Department of Social Services. 

Wanda works closely with social workers and the court system to make sure citizens with various needs receive empathetic and efficient attention. We value her advice and patience at the mental health association, and behind her back, we have assigned her a term of endearment: “The Indispensable Badass of Mental Health – Wanda Pearman, IBMH.”
